Orange Victorian
The image above is a commissioned portrait of a Victorian house at 142 Downey Streey in San Francisco. In the Google street view at left, you can explore the street and see what the actual house looks like.
The watercolor portrait shows a view that is not possible in reality. Because the street is so narrow, you can't stand back far enough to see all of the buildings that appear up the hill from the house.
The image was compiled from three digital photographs - one of which coincidentally caught the client's son sitting on the wall. The client was delighted to have him included, but also wanted to have her daughter in the picture. The little girl was added from yet another digital shot, but one taken at a different location. Some stealth was involved in preparing this as the painting was a surprise birthday gift for the client's husband.
