There's no need to stress out and worry about planning a remodeling or redesign project. If you're worrying about what to do first, whether you can afford it, what changes will increase the resale of your house, or whether to repair or replace, I can offer you easy, up-front advice that can save you both time and money.
After having renovated two homes and built two from scratch, I have an advanced degree from the "School of Hard Knocks," so whatever issue you're facing, there's a very good possibility I have seen it before, and already know the likely solutions. (I also have a green building certification and a master's degree in design from the famed Institute of Design at Illinois Institute of Technology.)

I offer affordable, personalized phone consulting every Saturday morning between 9 am and noon, Pacific time. When you call, you can get professional interior design advice and problem-solving on just about everything:
- Color coordination
- Window treatments
- Lighting
- Solving small space and storage problems
- Room layouts
- Accessibility and disability problems,
- Where to buy fabrics, carpets and hard-to-find items
- How to repair furniture and fabrics (or whether it's worth trying to do so)
The modest fee – $25 for each 20 minutes consultation - is likely to save you hundreds, even thousands of dollars – and perhaps some bruises and recriminations as well! (Should you decide later to come back and ask me to start a project with you, and if you opt for a Larger Job Volume Discount, the Helpdesk fee will be applied to your second hour of consulting. With larger jobs, the first hour of consultation is free.)
